Dr. Allen Huffman

Dr. Huffman began his career in health care in 1980 when he joined the U.S. Air Force as a corpsman. His first assignment was the obstetrics unit at Yokota Air Base in Tokyo, Japan. He later transferred into the Emergency Department and was assigned to the 655th Tactical Hospital as a Combat Medical Specialist. Dr. Huffman’s military service also included assignments in Germany and at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, TX, as a Medical Instructor and where he worked as a civilian EMT.

After leaving the military in 1989, Dr. Huffman continued working as an Emergency Medical Technician until entering New York Chiropractic College in 1995 graduating in 1999.

In 2011, Dr. Huffman was named America’s Best Loved Doctor by DrScore.com, an online patient satisfaction survey company with a database of over 100,000 doctors and physicians in the United States. He was one of America’s Most Loved Doctors in 2009 when Sport and Spine Rehab was named America’s Best Loved Practice. While at Sport and Spine Rehab, Dr. Huffman has been named Employee of the Year.

Dr. Huffman has completed post graduate certification in the Graston Technique and is a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner®.

Dr. Huffman is married and has a daughter and grandchildren. He was born in Takoma Park, MD, and currently lives near Annapolis, MD. He enjoys outdoor activities and traveling with his family. In addition to seeing patients at his Landover, MD, office, Dr. Huffman is the Team Chiropractor for the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders and formerly for the Maryland Mustangs basketball team.
