Dr. Davis graduated from Acadia University in 2006. While at Acadia she received her Bachelors of Kinesiology and focused her study in biomechanics.
Dr. Davis attended Parker College where she was the Vice President of her class and was an active Chiro Games swimming participant. She received her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Parker in 2009.
Dr. Davis served as a Chiropractor at the Centro de Alto Redimiento en Altura de Coldeportes in Bogota, Colombia as an intern for the Colombian Olympic Committee., treating Jiu Jitsu, Power Lifting, Tennis, Volleyball, Cycling, Swimming, Track and Field and professional soccer teams. While in Bogota, Dr. Davis served as part of the medical staff at the II Juegos Juveniles Panparamericanos where she treated athletes from over 16 countries. Dr. Davis was honored as the Outstanding Intern at the training facility and was recognized by the federation Colombiana de Softbol during her time there.
Dr. Davis is licensed to practice chiropractic with physical therapy privileges in the state of Maryland by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, in the Commonwealth of Virginia by the Department of Health Professions and in Florida by the Florida Department of Health. She is proficient in soft tissue techniques such as Graston and ART, and uses taping methods such as Kinesio, Specific Proprioceptive Response Taping (SPRT) and Athletic Taping. She is extensively trained in Passive and Electrical modalities and Active Rehabilitation.
Dr. Davis has added CCEP to her scope of treatment, allowing her to better treat the extremities and provide more complete whole body treatment. Most recently she has been awarded the CKTP certification advancing her ability it the art of taping. Dr. Davis is currently working on her CCSP, SFMA and Dry Needling certifications.
Dr. Davis holds certifications for: National Coaching Certification Program Level 1 and Level 2, USA Track and Field Coaching Level 1, Swim America Coaching Certification Level 1, 2 and 3 Professional Fitness and Lifestyle Consultant, Canadian Red Cross First Aid/ CPR, USA Red Cross First emergency response/ CPR/ AED/ blood borne pathogens/ administering emergency oxygen.
Dr. Davis is from The Bahamas and is an avid athlete. With her growing knowledge, training and personal experience, Dr. Davis had the honor of representing the Bahamas as Team Chiropractor in the 2012 London Olympics becoming the first Bahamian Chiropractor to treat athletes at the Olympic Games. She is a member of the International Chiropractic Association (ICA), American Chiropractics Association (ACA), and Federation International of Chiropractic Sport (FICS)
Dr. Davis is the official chiropractor of Orizon LLC. She serves a regular Judge of the Fitness America, Muscle Mania, Figure Universe, Ms. Bikini Universe and Model Universe competitions.
