Another Happy Patient!

Dear Dr. Zach, Beronica, Taronte, and everybody else:

I hope everybody is doing well this summer. I was a patient at the Rockville location from November 2009 to February 2010 after breaking my hip in a bicycle accident. As part of my recovery Dr Zach suggested that I run, bike, swim, and hike as much as possible, so I decided to train for a triathlon, even though I had not done one since 2001.

On July 11 I competed in my first triathlon since my accident. I did the Scenic Mountain Triathlon in Richwood, West Virginia, and finished 6th overall out of over 100 finishers. This was probably my most competitive finish ever in a triathlon. I finished the 0.5 mile swim, 17.1 mile bike (up a mountain) and 6.2 mile run in 1:50:47. Thanks so much for making this possible.

Warm Regards,

Ryan Richardson

Fort Washington Clinic Director Dr. Everett Scott named one of DrScore.com’s Top 5 Doctors in the Nation!

Dear Dr. Scott,

Each year, DrScore recognizes the top rated doctors of the year.  While patient satisfaction isn’t the only measure of medical quality, it is an important measure.  Doctors should be proud of the high scores they get from patients.

We see a lot of great doctors based on the feedback they receive at DrScore.com.  That said, your record in 2009 was truly exceptional, and you are one of the 5 runner ups for “America’s Most Loved Doctor” we are recognizing this year.  Congratulations to you and to your office for the incredible care you give patients.  We’ll be publicly announcing our top ranked doctors shortly in the next few days.

Best wishes!

I want to thank you for your generous support in my efforts to successfully complete a half-marathon and raise lots of money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The Rock N Roll half marathon was August 31 in Virginia Beach, VA. It was hot and humid, and I was thankful I had trained in the D.C. summer heat so I was (mostly) prepared. I suffered a foot injury at the end of July, and this limited my training throughout the month of August, but I was determined to participate no matter what! I was in pain and pretty tired, but once we crossed the 9-mile marker and then again when we came over the bridge into the home stretch, we rocked it. All along the course there were people in purple singlets and people on the sides screaming “GO TEAM!” We saw our friends and families, and Coach John and Coach Kristin were checking in and keeping us motivated to the end. I crossed the finish line with my head and arms held high, holding the hands of my F15 (Fab Fifteen) partners, and was overwhelmed by the experience of it all. I know I would not have been able to do it without working with a great physical therapist at Sport and Spine Rehab and having the support and encouragement of all of you along with my TNT teammates, captains, coaches, and staff. Thank you.

I raised over the minimum, and even surpassed my personal goal of $2,700. Thank you. This experience is something I cannot put into words. I am humbled by those dealing with leukemia, lymphoma, and other related disorders, both directly and through friends and family. I chose to take on this challenge for several reasons, both personal and out of a desire to contribute to something worthwhile. I have come out of it feeling inspired and wanting to do more, simply because I can. Because I can get up early in the morning and push myself to do my maintenance runs and go for 5, 8 or 12 miles in the weekend trainings. Because as much as I may complain about feeling tired and sore, I am able to feel tired and sore and keep going. Because I can do this again if I want to – and I do. I plan to begin training soon for the spring season and I hope I can count on you again for your support.

Thank you again and again for supporting me and for supporting the mission of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Team In Training – to find a cure for these and other blood related diseases, one mile at a time. With love, Jenny

My relationship with SSR began in January 2006 when I entered an essay contest that they sponsored for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. The winner was awarded an $1,800.00 donation to their fund raising; that person was I. Their generosity and support however did not end there. Theresa Scolaro, a SSR employee, would e-mail me on a fairly regular basis to see how I was doing and how my fund raising was coming along. A few weeks prior to the walk a care package arrived in the mail containing all kinds of necessary items for the walk. On the morning before the actual walk took place Theresa informed me that Dr. Jay had donated another $700.00 to my site. They did this because my personal goal was to reach $10,000, and that is what I needed in order to reach my goal.

Many people supported me and contributed to my first walk, which made it a memorable experience for me. By going the extra – SSR made it extraordinary. I will never forget their generosity and what they did to make my walk a success.

My patients have had nothing but positive feedback for me in regards to their experience at Sport and Spine Rehab. In fact, one of my patients told me that I would be crazy to ever refer my patients anywhere else. SSR has been a pleasure to work with and they have demonstrated the highest quality of care for their patients.

On behalf of all of us with the National Capital Area Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Team In Training (TNT), THANK YOU for your many years of support and friendship. In the six-plus years you have partnered with TNT, your doctors and staff have helped hundreds of our participants and volunteers achieve great personal endurance goals. Through clinics, one on one attention, handouts, and consultations, Sport and Spine Rehab has demonstrated its expertise and care to thousands of TNT participants each year. Additionally, your support of TNT participants and your corporate sponsorships have played an important role in the Society’s mission: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families. THANK YOU!

Truly concerned about the long-term outcome of their patients. Very pleasant and accommodating.

I fractured my ankle three weeks before Redskins tryouts, and I didn’t think I’d be able to tryout this year. Sport and Spine Rehab was amazing, they were able to get my ankle feeling better by tryouts and continued to do therapy after I made the team. Without them, I wouldn’t have been able to tryout!

Last October I had a severe lower back attack. The pain was so sever I was unable to dance and it became debilitating. I began seeing Dr. Tersigni twice a week for three weeks and by the end of the October, I was cheering for the 49ers’ game without a pain in sight. Not only did he get me back on my feet, he helped me to prevent the same injury by teaching me different exercises to build and strengthen my core. Now, I recommend all of my family and friends. Physical therapy and Chiropractic services really do work!

I love Sport and Spine Rehab! Dr. Tersigni helped me with my back, knee, and ankle pain. He taught me different exercises to help strengthen the areas that were injured and how important it is to ice my injuries after practices.

For the past five years, you have provided excellent up-to-date lunch and learn seminars to our Metro Washington, DC area employer groups. In addition, your team has done an outstanding job attending and engaging our members at health fairs. I know the employees from the State of Maryland health fairs thought the ergonomic shovel your staff used to demonstrate healthy snow shoveling was a hit. We decided to use the shovels as the raffle item for future health fairs where we had a Chiropractic booth! Thanks again for taking the time to share your expertise with our Federal Government Health Benefit Officers.
